Major Brian Shul, Vietnam War Veteran, presents “The Speed of Life”

Posted on

The Practical Vibration Analysis workshop at the International Machine Vibration Analysis Conference (IMVAC) held in Orlando, Florida November 6-8, 2017, will provide an opportunity to sharpen your diagnostic skills and strengthen your depth of knowledge. This is no ordinary conference workshop you will be challenged, you will be made to think, and you will learn essential skills that all vibration analysts must have to confidently diagnose the trickiest fault conditions. Rather than teaching you how to diagnose faults, you will actually try to diagnose faults yourself. You will either learn from your mistakes or gain confidence from your victories.

“Experience is the best teacher and this class provides the opportunity to gain experience and learn from mistakes without the pain of having to explain why you made those mistakes to upper management.” – Eugene Begley, Cat I

During the IMVAC full day workshop you will be grouped in a small team of three vibration analysts and given access to a range of information and data. You can ask for additional information, and you can perform additional tests, but everything you do will cost “points”. The aim is for your team to solve each of the diagnostic challenges (while being coached by Scott) and “beat” the other teams.

Brian Shul is one of the most popular and dynamic keynote speakers in America today.  His compelling story of living fearlessly and embracing the opportunities each day brings, resonates with men and woman of all ages. As an Air Force fighter pilot, Brian was shot down in the Vietnam War and severely burned in the ensuing crash. Initially given up for dead, he was finally rescued and spent one year in hospitals, endured 15 surgeries and was told his flying days were over.  Amazingly, Brian returned to active duty flying, and became one of only 93 men in history to fly the SR-71 spy plane, the fastest jet ever built. Brian masterfully uses his aviation slides and stories as a vehicle to tell a broader inspired story of hope, overcoming obstacles and daring to dream.  From lying near death in the jungles of Southeast Asia to flying the world’s fastest jet, Brian shares his amazing story in this most unforgettable one-of-a-kind presentation that both inspires and educates.

Join IMVAC, powered by Mobius Institute, in Orlando on November 6 – 8 to hear Major Shul and many other great speakers, where you will benefit from their insight, experiences and leadership within the application of machine diagnostics, condition monitoring and reliability improvement.
